Movie Sight is scheduled to be released in theaters across American on October 27. The film is based on the autobiography “From Darkness to Sight” of Dr. Ming Wang, Harvard & MIT (MD, magna cum laude); PhD (laser physics), an ophthalmic surgeon who practices in Nashville TN. The amniotic membrane contact lens, which Dr. Wang has invented (and holds two U.S. patents), has been used by tens of thousands of eye doctors throughout the world in nearly every nation, and millions have had their eyesight restored.
“When facing discrimination and want for freedom from fear, all Americans, in particular Chinese Americans, have had a similar experience. Dr. Wang exemplified characters of perseverance, forgiveness and pursuit of serving others. Chinese Americans need to learn from African and Caucasian Americans to increase social influence on the main stream America and Sight will open new doors for Chinese Americans to relate to all Americans. We have been conducting a national pre-screening of the film Sight in American communities throughout the U.S. in recent months, which has received rave reviews and created a wave of excitement never been seen in this country about a Chinese American film! We are excited to able to bring this film to Houston.” said Dr. Wu.
